Code of Conduct

As part of a continuing, district-wide initiative, Sowers Alternative High School along with all other high schools in the district, use of ACHIEVE.

This program designed by Randall S. Sprick Ph.D. helps to clarify teacher expectations and provide students with guidelines for various classroom activities.

ACHIEVE is an acronym for the following

• Activity
• Conversation
• Help
• Integrity
• Effort
• Value
• Efficiency

Along with this method, we also monitor student progress in the areas of:

• Being on time and prepared
• Following directions
• Not distracting others
• Communicating appropriately
